Application forms and course fees for the Core Professional Trainings will be available under each course on the '2010 Trainings' page. HPCR International's Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy is tailored to meet the needs of practitioners and policymakers. United Nations staff, diplomats, government officials, and professionals from non-governmental organizations will find the curriculum designed to address the legal, policy, and practical challenges encountered in humanitarian operations in situations of armed conflict. Others with substantial interest and relevant experience, including journalists, members of the military and scholars, are also invited to apply. Selection of ParticipantsThe Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy is specifically designed for mid-career professionals. It is suggested that applicants have 3 to 5 year prior exposure to either the practice or the theory of IHL (either through practical experience in humanitarian affairs or some prior legal training). All Core trainings are conducted in English, therefore applicants are required to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the language. No translation will be provided. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Therefore, interested candidates are encouraged to apply early to ensure availability.
Notification of AdmissionApplications are received and reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants are notified via email within 2 weeks of submission.
