The Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University created in June 2008 the Forum on Humanitarian Law and Policy, accessible at http://ihlforum.ning.com. Designed to serve the needs of the humanitarian community, this virtual social network platform offers open access to a series of online courses on humanitarian law, as well as to forum discussions and regular interactive seminars where participants can engage, in real time, with a group of experts and peers discussing issues of contemporary relevance and challenge.

As a community, the Forum welcomes over 6,000 humanitarian professionals from more than 160 countries.
