To complement on-site core trainings and thematic workshops, HPCR International is partnering with the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University to support distance learning resources. HPCR International and the Program at Harvard are committed to expanding training opportunities for humanitarian professionals. Building on pilot research conducted by the Program at Harvard, online course materials are being offered as part of a multi-year initiative to assess the application of distance learning tools in the field of international humanitarian law and humanitarian action. E-modules, including video/audio lectures by faculty from the Advanced Trainings on Humanitarian Law and Policy program, selected readings, and discussion forums, are designed to provide an intensive refresher on international humanitarian law and policy. |

As part of an ongoing research study, online sessions are open to all members of the humanitarian community (free registration required). After viewing a lecture, participants are invited to join the discussion forums to engage with faculty and fellow professionals on current IHL challenges. Participants attending on-site core trainings are required to complete all four modules, the session quizzes, and the course evaluation prior to arriving in Cambridge, Brussels, or Amman.
